The Maidens of North Penn clinch Continental- American Championship
The Maidens of North Penn facing the Abington Ghost needed a split to clinch the their title did just that in a great match of competition by winning the second game by a large enough margin to win the forth point in total pins. Total pins was won by a mere 10 pins. Kristina Turner had the high series for the maidens with a 490 including a 189 second game. Other nice games contributing to their victory was Danielle Godshall 173, Kelci Beatty 169, Gabby Verrillo 150, and Lauren Marrone 178. Dana Dahling of Abington had the high series of the night with a very consistent night of games 189-175-183 for a 547 series. Other high Ghosts games were Erica Dahling 215-508 series, Becca Reynols 131, Katie Benetz148,and Nicolrtte Ray 179.
The Knights of North Penn knowing that they had to win all 4 games to have a chance of winning their title when facing second place Pennridge tomorrow did so with good team bowling. Freshman Colin Nast led the Knights with games of 249-191-224 for a 664 series. Tyler Sharpe kept his strong scoring going with a 628 series followed by high games from Dylan Bailey Smith 205, Lucas Denton 209, and Ryan Lowery 210.
North Penn finishes their regular season on Wednesday at Pennridge at Earlbowl in Earlington.
