National Conference Bergey’s Buick GMC Highlighted Player
Brittany Mitchell – Senior at William Tennent High School
A three-year starter for the Panthers, Mitchell has 20 career goals to go along with 33 assists. She is equally comfortable playing defense, midfield or attack and last year was a second team all-league selection. The senior captain received third team all-league recognition as a sophomore. She plays club hockey for the Mystics
Note from the coach:
“Brittany can do it all on the field,” said coach Kaitlyn Rauchut. “She has excellent field vision and quickness. While having a humble demeanor, Brittany’s impressive skills cannot go unseen on the field where she leads by example and always gives 110 percent. Brittany turns heads with her impressive ball handling skills while leading the team. Brittany is the anchor and key player of a young team that has done well in our conference.”
About Brittany:
Best field hockey memory: Scoring my first varsity goal as a freshman.

Bergey’s Buick GMC Continental Conference Highlighted Player
Courtney Heverly – Senior at Quakertown High School
The Panthers’ senior captain, who will be playing hockey at the collegiate level, has 10 goals and seven assists this season. She also was captain of her team as a junior when she earned second team all-league honors. She competes on the True North club team.

“Courtney is a leader,” coach Peach Draper said. “She’s a passionate field hockey player with talent and skill. She’s an excellent communicator, she’s a game player and never fails to take on any defender and beat them.”
About Courtney:
Best memory playing field hockey: Playing with my teammates and going to the National Hockey Festival in Arizona.
Part of the game I enjoy most: Working together and successfully scoring as a team.
My role model is: Laree Beans

Favorite food: Shrimp

Bergey’s Buick GMC American Conference Highlighted Player 
Ellie Gilette – Senior goalie at Norristown Area High School
The Eagles’ senior goalie boasts a save percentage of .840. Last year, Gilette earned first team all-league honors. She assisted in running the team’s summer conditioning program and has logged 30 hours to date this season coaching hockey in the community’s youth program (ENGAA).

“Ellie is an extremely dedicated and motivated goalie,” coach Stacie Staufenberg said. “She eats, sleeps and breaths field hockey. Her leadership on and off the field is amazing. She is one of the few athletes I have coached that truly appreciates her opponents and the competition. She studies the other teams and knows the stats and brings them into our huddle. Her consistent effort in the cage has paid off with an .84 save percentage. That same drive has propelled her to excel in the classroom as well with a GPA above a 4.5. Her smile and love for the game is infectious, and she is a pleasure to have on our team.”
About Ellie:
Best memory playing field hockey: The most memorable moment is when my team beat Upper Dublin 2-1 this year. It was the greatest feeling of accomplishment knowing how my team came together and won since we had never beaten them before.
Part of the game I enjoy the most: It’s hard to pinpoint a certain part since I love the game as a whole, but I would have to say when I have the opportunity to stop the opponent from scoring.
My role model is: My mom
Music that gets me pumped before games: Any type of hip-hop music. The song Drake ‘Headlines’ is one of my favorites.
Favorite food: Pepperoni Pizza
