Andrew Galetta – Senior at North Penn High School
The senior captain – who served as an assistant captain last year – has been part of the program for eight years. He entered the program as a fifth grader playing for the middle school team and played on North Penn’s Middle School 3A team for three years. A four-year member of the varsity, he plays center and has contributed nine goals and four assists (14 points) through eight games this season. Off the ice, Galetta is an honor roll student.

Note from the coach:
“He’s the type of player coaches love to coach,” said coach Kevin Vaitis. “He goes out there and leads by example every time he’s on the ice. He works extremely hard in practice to make himself a better player, which translates over to the games but also translates over to how other players on the team perform. They see how Andrew is at practice and games, and a lot of them use him as a role model and try to match that level of intensity and hard work that he brings every time he steps on the ice.
“His hockey sense and hockey IQ is extremely high, so when you take that with the level of hard work and effort he brings to the table – he’s a pretty darn good hockey player as well, so when you put that all together, he’s a real pleasure to watch on the ice and how he’s able to perform. He’s been one of the key contributors for us the past two years on offense. He’s one of the top guys when it comes to power play and penalty kill and even just even strength time. If you were looking at minutes per game, he’s one of the guys that’s up there on our team as far as the minutes he plays. Sometimes you get players that are extremely talented, but you wouldn’t put them out on the penalty kill because they’re not very good defensively. Andrew is the opposite. He’s as good defensively as he is offensively, which is great because you can put him in any situation out on the ice.”
