Bergey’s Inc. National Conference Highlighted Player
Marlena Koellner, Neshaminy Senior, Midfielder
Note from the coach:
.
“Marlena  is a standout athlete,” said coach Caitlin Koczynski. “She always gives 110 percent every time she steps out onto the field, whether it is at practice or a game. As a senior captain this season, she stepped up as a leader on and off the field. She not only led vocally, but by example as well. Marlena will be an asset next year at Sacred Heart and we will truly miss her here at Neshaminy.”

Bergey’s Inc. Continental Conference Highlighted Player
Anna Hall, Central Bucks West Senior, Midfielder

Note from the coach:
“Anna Hall is our resident ‘tweeter,’” coach Courtney Lepping said. “She does most all of our social media posts and kept the team and fans updated all the time.  She also is extremely funny and hardworking.  Our team attitude tends to reflect her persona - goofy but able to focus when the time came.  She worked really hard with Emily and Rachel (our captains) to lead the team by example and by voice.   Anna also likes to refer to left mid as the "quarterback" of the game, because all plays could go through her, and defensively, she was so important.  She's taken that mindset into the position for the last two years and truly did help run our offense through the left side.  Anna is also very hard working and passionate about field hockey and shares that passion with the rest of the team.”
About Anna:
Best memory playing high school hockey:
“Beating Mount Saint Joseph’s this season in our last home game to get into states. We played some of our best hockey and were able to bounce back from being down two goals.”
Part of game I enjoy most: “Huddling up before the game to motivate each other and celebrating my teammates’ goals.”
How did you get involved in hockey? “Started playing DAA when I was in third grade and loved every minute of it!”
My role model is: “My grandmother”

Music on iPod: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Awolnation, Portugal, The Man
Favorite food: Grilled Cheese
Favorite class:  Modern World History
Future plans:  Play collegiate field hockey at Ursinus College and major in Psychology
Two people – dead or alive - I’d invite to a dinner party:  Justin Timberlake, Jimmy Fallon, Ellen DeGeneres, and Jennifer Lawrence
