John McCreadie – Senior at Central Bucks West High School
The senior captain has scored a team high nine goals in seven games and also has five assists. A two-year member of the program, McCreadie became an immediate contributor when he joined the team last year. He also is an excellent student.

Note from the coach:
“He has best hand-eye coordination of any player I have coached in many years,” coach Dave Baun said. “He really has an amazing eye for the game. He sees the game so well and has such amazing coordination that rarely do you ever see him fumble a puck. Rarely do you ever see him ever do anything other than make a great pass. He’s engaging and funny and just a wonderful kid to have on the team.
“The other night we played Neshaminy. You have your ups and downs in this game, and they’re in a rebuilding year. We got to the point in the game where some teams would have loaded up, and one thing that stood to me was – there was a play where John stole the puck and went in, faked the goaltender, had a goal and passed it over to another kid who hadn’t scored, and he scored. I looked at my assistant coach and I said, ‘You know what, we have something here’ because so many other years and so many other players - kids would have taken the opportunity themselves to score the goal when it wasn’t a highly competitive part of the game. I said to myself – there’s something there that he didn’t have time to think about it, he wasn’t told to do it. He just did it. He was unselfish, and he was unselfish in a way that good people are. That’s a very positive thing for our team. I always say that as go your captains, so goes your team. I’m really fortunate to have tremendous seniors and great captains, and Johnny is one of those kids who just makes me proud to say I coach CB West ice hockey. We won 8-1 and had eight different goal scorers, but the thing that stood out was that play.
