Springfield Twp coach Katrina Borzelleca:
“It was a hard fought game back and forth between both teams from the first draw to the last whistle, and we made some adjustments as the game went on that were beneficial.”
--Props: “Our attack made up of Frankie Rizzo, Madison Borzelleca, Ella McLaughlin and Lucy McDevitt played a solid game. They moved well on offense, gave us some great looks at goal with our middies and also caused some great turnovers in their re-defend.
“Our midfielders were all over the field, contributing on both offense and defense, making great plays and working well together. Shannon Silvius, Adrianna Demers, and Julia Guicheteau got to almost every loose ball and controlled a lot of the draws at midfield too.
“Our defensive unit made some excellent stops and consisted of Lauren Gibson, Murphy McGranahan, Natalie Rittler, Jess Shapley and Madeline Lodge. Their communication and cohesiveness, along with our midfielders, came up with some great stops. Stormii Schock-Sprague had 13 saves in goal to help us secure the win. It was an overall complete team win.”
