In an all-SOL opening round game, it was the Patriots opening up a 5-2 halftime lead on their way to the hard-fought win over the visiting Colonials.
Ryan Williams had a five-point game with one goal and four assists to lead a balanced Patriot attack. Michael Smallwood and Jack Williams both added three goals and one assist. Adding two goals each were Evan Riley and Thomas Williams. Riley also had an assist. Adam Volm added a goal and two assists.
Ryan Coverdale won 11 of 18 faceoffs and also had five ground balls. Ben Snyder recorded nine saves in a winning effort in goal.
The Patriots had assists on nine of 12 goals. As a team, they had 33 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers.
Plymouth Whitemarsh received goals from junior attackman Owen Cababe (2 goals), and senior midfielders Hayden Domers (1 goal) and Luke LaViola (1 goal). The defensive effort was led by senior LSM/Defenseman Isaiah Bainbridge, who had two caused turnovers and six ground balls, and junior goalie Mason Best, who notched nine saves.

The Falcons saw their season come to an end in Tuesday’s opening round of districts. They trailed 3-1 after one quarter and then were shut out in the next two quarters.
Bradley Hill had a big night at the faceoff X, winning 10 of 13 faceoffs. He also had six ground balls. Jaden Beach was credited with 10 saves in goal for the Falcons.
