Pennridge 3, Central Bucks East 0 (25-13, 25-10, 25-17)
The Rams improved to 3-0 on the young season after their convincing win over the Patriots on Tuesday. Mike Shenk led the attack with nine kills while Erik Moyer had seven kills and three blocks. Zach Grasse had four kills and two aces, and Derek Polito and Cory Chinnici each had three kills and two blocks.
Setter Will Jager had 21 assists and two aces while defensive libero Jake Braun had seven digs and three aces.
The Rams return to action on Thursday when they will host Central Bucks South. The Patriots will host Quakertown on Thursday.
Council Rock North 3, William Tennent 1 (22-25, 25-15, 25-21, 25-14)
The Indians dropped their first game but rallied to win the next three. Hunter Stevens led the attack with 10 kills and four blocks while Ryan Garven had eight kills and three blocks. Dan Ford had 36 assists.
William Tennent will travel to Pennsbury for a 7 p.m. game on Thursday. Rock North will travel to Abington for a 3:30 p.m. contest on Friday.
Pennsbury 3, Abington 0 (25-13, 25-11, 25-13)
Senior Joe Yasalonis slammed home 15 kills and also had a pair of blocks to lead the Falcons. Jeremy Rhoads added 13 kills and two digs while Adam Flick had nine kills and three blocks. Jim Zaluski had six kills, two digs and two blocks. Mike Mamzic led the defense with five digs while Eric Tepel and Ryan Burns both had four digs for the Falcons, who improved to 2-0.
The Falcons will host William Tennent on Thursday at 7 p.m. and then head off to the Bobcat Invitational at Northeastern High School in Manchester.
