Neshaminy senior Rick Brebner was recognized during a special senior signing ceremony on May 27, 2010. Rick will be playing baseball at the University of Pennsylvania.

Reasons for choosing Penn: “Going to camps there, I loved the campus and the layout of the school, and I loved the coaches. It just felt right. I can’t wait to get started.”
When did the idea of playing baseball in college become a reality? “I have always wanted to play ever since I was a little kid growing up, but until my junior and senior years when I started getting offers – that’s when I realized it was a real possibility.”
Coach Dennis Cox says: “He’s as wonderful a young man as I’ve coached. He’s a marvelous, marvelous athlete, and just looking at the stat numbers and box scores, you can see what kind of baseball player he is.
“As talented as he is, he has humility, and he’s a great teammate. He’s just a flat-out pleasure to coach. You’re lucky if you get one like him in a lifetime of coaching. I have been fortunate to have a couple. He’s as good of a person and an athlete as I have ever had.
“You know he’s going to do well in life. He’s such a quality human being. Getting in at Penn is just a wonderful opportunity for him, and it couldn’t happen to a nicer kid.”
