TRI-CAPE 15, BUCKS-MONT 7
Tri-Cape scored three runs in each of the first three innings, opening up a 9-0 lead before Bucks-Mont put a run on the scoreboard in the bottom of the third when Hatboro-Horsham’s Will Bruner, who singled, scored on the two-out single by Central Bucks South’s Owen Petrich.
Tri-Cape added a single run in the fifth before Bucks-Mont erupted for five runs in the fifth to make it a 10-6 game. North Penn senior RJ Agriss was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning, and then came singles by Petrich, North Penn’s Evin Sullivan (RBI) and Quakertown’s Justin Butler (RBI). With one out, CB South’s Carter Hinds drew a walk to load the bases, setting the stage for a Trey Porter triple to center that emptied the bases.
Tri-Cape opened up a 15-5 advantage before Bucks-Mont tacked on a run in the bottom of the ninth when Upper Moreland’s Shawn Townsend drew a free pass with the bases loaded.
Wissahickon’s Nate DeVincent turning in a strong showing on the mound, throwing two scoreless innings, allowing one unearned run while walking three and striking out three.
