CB East High School Welcomes New Field Hockey Coach

The 2021 fall season kicks off for the CB East Patriots, the defending Suburban One Colonial Division and District 1 field hockey champs, with a new coach.
Emma Rosenthal joins CB East Field Hockey as head coach, leading the Patriots varsity squad, and overseeing the junior varsity and freshmen teams.
A 2014 CB East graduate and four-year varsity goalie, Rosenthal continued her field hockey career at Muhlenberg College (2018). In addition to being a three-year starter in goal, Rosenthal was captain her senior year, leading Muhlenberg’s defense to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) championship and setting the school record for most shutouts in a season. A two-time Centennial Conference player of the week, two-time Second Team All-Conference, National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-South Region Team and NFHCA Senior All-Star, Rosenthal brings both leadership and experience to the pitch at East.
Says Rosenthal, “It's been an honor to be back on the field with East field hockey and see how the program has developed since I graduated. We have an extremely strong and united group of individuals who continue to impress me each and every day. This season, we are all in for the common goal of winning our sixth consecutive conference title. It's always a goal to do better than we did last year- which is a tough feat that we look forward to accomplishing.”
In 2020 Rosenthal, received her Master of Fine Arts in comedy screenwriting from DePaul University. Most recently, Rosenthal served as the head swim coach of Maplewood Swim Club in Southampton where she led the team to its first victory in more than seven years.
Sara Valko returns to the CB East field hockey family as assistant varsity coach after coaching last year’s junior varsity squad. Former freshman coach Victoria Satterfield also returns this season as junior varsity coach.

They each bring their own unique skill sets to their respective positions and are all committed to seeing our student athletes succeed on and off the field,” said Chris Camposano, President, CB East Field Hockey Booster Club. “We look forward to kicking off a great season and to supporting our coaches and student athletes as they strive toward their goals.”
