C.B. South Basketball Runs Clinic for Athletes Helping Athletes

On Friday night, the C.B. South boys’ and girls’ basketball teams were off from league play because of a bye in the schedule.  Both teams joined to provide a basketball clinic for Athletes Helping Athletes.  The night comprised of CB South players buddying up with an AHA player where they would go around to 5 different stations learning and practicing dribbling, passing, shooting, lay-ups, and 3 on 3 games.

At the end of the clinic, each AHA player received a new basketball.  C.B. South partnered with the 6th Man Project which is a charity group started by Mike Gibson out of the trunk of his car giving out free basketball’s to kids on playgrounds who needed them.  Today, the 6th Man Project receives basketball donations from basketball programs, fans, etc., and continues to give out these basketballs to those in need.

If you would like to donate a basketball or partner with the 6th Man Project for your event, reach out to Mike Gibson at mgib1960@aol.com or visit them on Facebook.
