The Central Bucks West girls’ soccer team closed out the first half of its SOL season on Thursday night with a 1-0 win over Central Bucks South.
As impressive as a win over the defending district champions might be – and it was, even more impressive is the fact that the Bucks have not allowed a goal after one go-round in league play.
If you’re counting, the Bucks have played 740 minutes of shutout soccer. They’ve scored only seven goals in seven games – hence their 5-0-2 record in conference play, but there’s no denying that this was quite a feat by the Bucks, who received a goal in the fifth minute by Alexis ‘Tex’ Haug on Thursday night.
One goal – as usual – was enough for the Bucks and their stingy defense.
