Molly Naylor – Arcadia University (Lacrosse)
Major: Biology
Final list of colleges: Arcadia, Fairleigh Dickinson, Quinnipiac
Reasons for choosing Arcadia: “I picked Arcadia because it’s really close to home, and family is an important part to me. I’m probably going for physical therapy, and they have a really good program for it. I also like the coach because she was a D-1 goalie, and that’s really important to me because I’ve never had a coach that was a goalie. I also liked how small it was because I’m a small school person.”
What was the progression that led you to playing lacrosse at the collegiate level? “I started thinking about it my sophomore year when I started playing varsity. Over the summer before my sophomore year, I started working with a trainer, and I really started feeling more passionate about it and wanting to get better and better. I really liked my season sophomore year because we really played well together.”
Coach Tara Schmucker says: “Molly has helped our program grow and succeed these past few years. Last year highlights were most notably her second half performances against OJR and North Penn where she helped us to clinch our victories in both games with some big saves. Molly also maintains composure really well in cage, which is difficult for a goalie. She does not let emotion get to her and can shrug off past games and goals which is a great mindset for her position.”
