Central Bucks South High School, located at 1100 Folly Road, is pleased to announce that it has promoted Michael Strayline to Varsity Head Lacrosse coach and hired Brian Klumpp as head baseball coach. Strayline served as CB South’s assistant offensive coordinator and face off coach for the last two seasons while Klumpp joins the Titans’ baseball program after five seasons as Archbishop Wood’s varsity pitching coach.
Strayline has spent the better part of the last 12 years working in youth and high school athletics. He has been a member of the CB South lacrosse program starting as a JV assistant coach in 2010 before being promoted to JV head coach in 2012, where he posted a 32-5 record over two seasons. In his role as a varsity assistant, Strayline helped the Titans to a 24-13 record over two seasons including a share of the Continental Conference Championship in 2015.
Klumpp comes to South after being part of a strong winning tradition at Archbishop Wood. During his tenure as pitching coach, Wood won two District 12 championships and one Catholic League title. Over the last two seasons, Wood’s pitchers posted a sub-2.00 ERA under Klumpp’s tutelage.
“We are very excited to have Coach Strayline and Coach Klump leading our boys’ lacrosse and baseball programs,” CB South Athletic Director Danielle Turner said. “Both coaches are extremely knowlegable and will be excellent role models for the young men in their respective programs.”
Both baseball and boys’ lacrosse are slated to start their seasons on March 24, 2016.
