Central Bucks South Names Pat Toner as Head Field Hockey Coach

Central Bucks South High School is pleased to announce that it has named Patricia Toner as the school’s new varsity field hockey head coach.  She replaces coach Lindsay Walbrandt, who led the Titans during the 2015 season.

Toner brings with her to CB South a rich history of coaching success. As the Council Rock field hockey coach from 1987 to 2001, she captured eight league championships, three PIAA District One Championships and the PIAA State Championship in 1994.

She continued her coaching career as the head coach of Council Rock South from 2002-2008 adding another league title to her resume.

Toner’s field hockey accolades are numerous. She was named USA National Coach of the Year, coached 13 Suburban One League scoring champions, 13 Players of the Year Selections, 19 All-State First team players, two All-Americans, and two USA team members.

In addition, the Trenton Times named her the Field Hockey Coach of the Decade for the 1990s.  Coach Toner was also inducted into the Bucks County Chapter of Pennsylvania Hall of Fame in 2012 and the Council Rock Hall of Fame in 2015.

“We are very excited to have coach Toner join the Titan athletic team,” athletic director Danielle Turner said. “She brings with her a wealth of field hockey coaching experience to CB South and we sincerely look forward to her leading our young women in the always competitive Suburban One League.”

In addition to her field hockey achievements, Toner also was the head coach of the lacrosse program at Council Rock North from 2009-2012, winning three league titles and recording 100 victories.
