On Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, Central Bucks East senior Erica Reis signed a letter of intent to accept a softball scholarship to Austin Peay University.

Reasons for choosing Austin Peay: “I decided when I visited Austin Peay that that’s where I wanted to spend my four years of college. I went down there, and the way the team made me feel – I felt at home. The way the college was – I felt like it was a safe place for me to go to, and I was comfortable enough that I could go to school there. I want to go there and have a new start.”
What was the progression that led you to playing softball at the collegiate level? “I had a dream since I was 10 years old that I wanted to get a scholarship in Division One softball. In ninth grade, I started playing on the 18-and-under team, and in 10th grade, I was on the gold team. Ever since then, I set my mind to it and said, ‘I’m going to get a scholarship.’ I started the recruiting process, and this year it came true.”
