Alex Frazier, soccer beat writer for SuburbanOneSports.com, was recognized as the 2010 Media Person of the Year by the Southeast Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association. Presenting the award to Frazier at Wednesday night’s banquet was Wissahickon boys’ soccer coach Stuart Malcolm.
Frazier has been involved in soccer most of his life and played high school soccer at Penn Charter. After graduating from college, Frazier coached soccer at Germantown Academy for 19 years, and he started the girls’ soccer team which won the Inter-Ac championship each year from 1984-87. He also coached a state championship team from Deep Run Valley.
After leaving GA, Frazier began writing sports for Montgomery Newspapers until retiring three years ago. Since then, he has been the soccer beat writer for SuburbanOneSports.com.
