Free Girls Basketball Coaches Clinic
sponsored by Fencor – Oct. 15
The Fencor girls basketball club will sponsor on Sunday, October 15 from 11 am to 1 p.m. a coaches clinic in the main gym at Germantown Academy. Admission is free and open to anyone coaching a girls team or in learning more about the game. No preregistration needed. The first 25 in attendance will receive a Fencor folio.
It will present different aspects of coaching a team not usually dealt with at most clinics. For more information go to www.fencor.org or email fencoraau@yahoo.com.
The lineup:
Building A Program: Keith Mondillo – Head coach of Gwynedd-Mercy University.
Keith has been the coach of the Griffins for 22 years and made the NCAA Tournament 9 times.
In November he was inducted into the Montgomery County Coaches Hall of Fame.
· Proper Fundamentals: Andre Strothers – Director of Another Level Basketball & GA assistant.
A fundamentally sound player is the key to any team’s success. Andre has over 20 years’ experience as a private instructor and coach creating drills to improve player performance.
· Teaching Post Moves: Matt Carroll – Head coach at Upper Moreland High School
Knowing how to operate in the post seems to be a lost art at all levels. Matt will go thru drills that will teach your taller players how to effectively operate inside.
· Conditioning: Brandon Bing – Director of Pro-Bing Elite Fitness & Performance
A member of the 2012 Super Bowl championship NY Giants, Bing was also a state champion track star at Cheltenham High School. Many games are won by the team in the best condition.
