Girls' Lacrosse Wrap: 4-8-10

Abington 18, Cheltenham 7

Courtney Cox matched her career-high by scoring six goals in the Ghosts’ big win. It was the second six-goal effort in as many outings for Cox. Molly Seefried added five goals while Carli Fitzgerald had four. Hanna Sjoholm had two goals, and Courtney Enderle and Kelsey Fitzgerald each scored single goals. Enderle also had an assist.
Defensively for the Ghosts, Liz Wilson had four ground balls, and Seefried had nine draws. Caitlin Enderle and Carli Fitzgerald had three ground balls and two caused turnovers each. Goalie Emily Towey had six saves for the Ghosts.
Central Bucks West 14, Neshaminy 6
The Bucks raced to an 8-1 halftime lead and never looked back while rolling to their first win of the young season. Tori Ueland, Steph Cooper and Julie Kopperman each contributed a hat trick. Ueland also had three assists and Kopperman, one assist. Jeanmarie Campbell added a pair of goals and assists while Kelly McDevitt had one goal and three assists and Amanda Parker and Erica Schweibenz both contributed single goals.
Haley Sheenan had a pair of goals to lead the Redskins.
West goalie Samantha Hogan was credited with four saves.
Upper Merion 15, Upper Moreland 5
The Vikings upped their early season record to 3-0 with their convincing win over the Golden Bears. Senior Kellie Manoppello, who tallied six goals and one assist, and sophomore Melanie Ryan, who contributed four goals and three assists, led the Vikings.
Also contributing scoring for the Vikings were Julia Ehmer (two goals, three assists), Amanda McAteer (two goals) and Michelle Bowes (one goal). Viking goalie Allison Frymoyer recorded nine saves.
The Vikings will host Cheltenham on Friday.
North Penn 14, Hatboro-Horsham 3
The Maidens opened up a 9-0 lead on their way to their third win without a loss. Dani Horn paced the Maidens with four goals and two assists while Abbie Hartman contributed the hat trick. Halie Lear and Rachel Shaw both had a pair of goals. Lear also contributed an assist. Stacey Pellechia, Garrie Grenfell and Emilie Ikeda each added a single goal.
Maiden goalie Sarah Prall had 12 saves while Ciera Smith and Jenna Stover both had a pair of saves in back-up roles.
The Maidens will travel to Conestoga for a non-league contest on Friday.
Central Bucks South 13, Central Bucks East 8
Casey Haegele and Kelly Hamilton each scored five goals to lead the Titans. Hamilton also had three assists and Haegele had one assist. Taylor Michener added one goal and four assists while Kristen Lawlor had one goal and three assists. Maddie Dibrino added one goal and one assist. Titan goalie Jess Adcock had 17 saves.
