Logan Cloak, Senior, Outside Hitter – William Tennent High School
About Logan…
How long have you been playing competitive volleyball? About 6 years
Favorite memory competing in volleyball: Beating Christopher Dock in five games in the District One Tournament
What do you enjoy most about the sport? I enjoy the fact that it is a team sport, and everyone has to work together in order to win. The other sport I play – golf – is a very individual sport, so it’s nice to have that difference.
My role models are: The alumni who I’ve played with that were seniors when I began – Mike Bowler, Shane Cooney and Matt Hartman, to name a few.
Music that gets me pumped: I like to listen to Chiddy Bang before all of our games.
Favorite TV show: ‘Family Guy’ or ‘The Office’
Favorite school subject: Either Public Speaking or Calculus
Future plans: I’m attending the University of Central Florida, studying architecture, and hopefully playing on their club volleyball team.
Vanilla or chocolate: Chocolate
Note from the coach…
“We only have a few seniors this year, so they are expected to be leaders on the team,” coach Jim Creighton said of his senior captain. “Logan has stepped up and been a vocal leader and also with his play - those are two totally different types of leadership, but he has been able to combine both of those and be a leader that the younger guys look up to.
“He played middle for us last year, and because of some injuries this season, he’s also played middle for us this year. He’s an all-around front row player. He’s been playing back row for us this year and is one of our better all-around players.”

Favorite TV show: ‘The 70’s Show’

Future plans: Study Kinesiology at Temple University
Vanilla or chocolate: Vanilla
Note from the coach:
“He’s a captain, and he’s one of the guys the other kids naturally look up to and follow his example,” coach Rob Minschwamer said. “He’s just such a nice guy, and he’s a hard worker – everything you would look for in a captain. He leads by example, and he’s always doing the right thing. He has a lot of fire on the court but always in a positive and controlled manner – never taunting other players and things like that.
“He’s a tireless worker in the middle. He’s a great blocker and last year was in the league leaders in blocks. We try and run him quick all the time in the middle, so he’s always up on the middle hits. He’s a great hitter. He can hit it anywhere – left, right, long, short. He’s a good passer too, although we try and give him rest in the back row because he works so hard at the net. His all-around game is great. He’s a smart player and knows what to do with the ball and how to take care of it.”

“He’s one of our captains,” coach Matt Ehlers said. “He comes into practice and works hard and goes into the games with that same mentality of giving everything he has. He’s just a real good kid to have in the program. He sets a good example for the other kids.
“He’s pretty much one of my best all-around players. Stat-wise he’s one of our team leaders in aces, kills and blocks, and he plays defense real well and also is getting some digs. He’s just a good all-around player.”
