KickNWear Player of the Week

Lee Sandquist – Senior midfielder from Central Bucks East.

Notable Accomplishment:
Although Sandquist hasn’t gotten as much attention as some of his teammates during the Patriots’ playoff run, he has absolutely been deserving of it. Out of the eight goals that CB East scored in its first three state playoff games, Sandquist has scored four of them. Scoring two goals in the first round game versus Coughlin, and another against Lower Merion in the semifinal match, he has certainly carried his team within the last few games. Sandquist then went on to tie their semifinal game against Central Dauphin on a header goal with less than a minute left in the first half. CB East eventually prevailed, 2-1 (Sandquist assisted the second goal). The win propelled the Patriots into to the state final game against Hempfield. And much of their success can be credited to Lee Sandquist, who elevated his level of play enough to influence the outcomes of some of their most significant games of their season.

Note from the Coach:
“He’s added great leadership and has played many different positions,” says head coach, Mike Gorni. “He’s playing unbelievably well in a very important time.”
