KickNWear Player of the Week

Cara Deola – Senior midfielder from Council Rock South.

Notable Accomplishment:
As a first team all-league selection, Cara Deola had a huge impact on CR South’s league and district championships. She led them to the Golden Hawks to their district final victory against Pennridge (1-0), dominating the midfield and controlling the speed of play. As a central midfielder, she teamed up with Alexa Crosier both offensively and defensively in order to maximize their respective talents. Deola also made many positive contributions in Rock South’s heartbreaking loss to Conestoga in the first round of state playoffs. Although CR South dominated the game, Conestoga won the game 1-0 due to a CR South own goal. However, Cara Deola’s fantastic soccer career did not end that night since she has issued a verbal commitment to play at West Chester University next fall.

Note from the Coach:
According to her coach, John Oberholtzer, “It was true to almost every game that if Cara brought her A game, things would go our way.”
