Kristen Jones - Junior center back/center mid from Bensalem

 Notable Accomplishment:
A junior captain, Jones has anchored the Owls at center back and center mid and is willing to play any position for the good of the team. Midway through the season, the Owls were down five starters with Jones being one of them. Her return stabilized what remained of the team's original defense, and she was regularly assigned the task of shutting down the opposing team's top player.

 Note from the Coach:
"Kristen is a hard-nosed player who does anything you ask of her," coach Lew Mladjen said. "Although her statistics would not jump out at you, Kristen is the type of player that always tends to be in the right spot at the right time. It sounds cliche, but as with all good players, the ball seems to find her. Whether it is marking the opposing team's best player or asking her to jump in the attack, Kristen is easily the most active player from Bensalem on the field. She has all of the skill to be a top-level player in the league next year as long as she works hard in the offseason."

Continental Conference KickNWear Player of the Week

Shelly Cowan – Sophomore midfielder from Quakertown.

Notable Accomplishment:
Cowan scored the game winner in overtime versus Souderton, and she scored a goal against North Penn and had an assist on the second goal against the Maidens, hence having a part in all three goals the Panthers scored last week. Her overtime goal was her second OT goal this season – she also had one against CB East. She currently has seven goals and one assist.

Note from the Coach:
“Shelly is a midfielder that strives to outwork her opponent every game,” notes her coach, Michael Koch. “She is a tenacious defender, an excellent attacker and works to get open when she does not have the ball. Shelly is a team leader that always supports her teammates and is a great example for the other players on the team no matter the situation. It is fitting that Shelly has scored the two game winners in overtime as she always works to be in a good spot in the attacking third.”

American Conference KickNWear Player of the Week

Leslie Weaver – Sophomore goalkeeper from Upper Moreland.

Notable Accomplishment:
During a week when Upper Moreland did its best to hold off two of the more talented teams in their league, Leslie Weaver certainly held her own in the cage. The Golden Bears first took on Upper Dublin, one of the top teams in the SOL. Although Upper Moreland lost by several goals, Weaver turned away upwards of 25 shots and never stopped competing. Next the Golden Bears battled Wissahickon to a tough loss in which Weaver allowed two goals but managed to keep her team in the game, blocking many great scoring opportunities.

Note from the Coach:
According to Upper Moreland coach, Joe Joyce: “She leads by example, although she’s only a sophomore. No matter what the score, she’s always out there giving 110 percent.”

About Leslie:
Favorite professional soccer player: Christiano Ronaldo
Best soccer memory: Too many to name one
Part of the game I enjoy most: Playing the field and making a goal
Musical artist that gets you pumped before games: Underoath and A Skylit Drive
Chocolate or vanilla: Vanilla
