Continental Conference KickNWear Player of the Week

Gabrielle Benedict – Senior goalkeeper from Central Bucks West.

Notable Accomplishment:
Last week, Benedict made a huge impact in CB West’s first two playoff games. First, she saved two crucial penalty kicks in a 0-0 (3-1) PK victory over Bishop Shanahan. Then Benedict went on to have the game-winning assist (as the goalkeeper) in a 2-1 victory over Strath Haven which put CB West into the District semifinals and also the state tournament. She also went through the entire regular league season without allowing a goal.

Note from the Coach:
"Bree personifies what a CB West girls’ soccer player is,” offers CB West head coach, Chris Freudig. “She is dedicated, hard working, dependable, and always puts the team first. Bree has always been exceptional at shot stopping, and this year has improved her distribution and controlling the box. Bree also possesses a wicked free kick which now in the playoffs we are starting to make use of. West has had a history of excellent goalkeepers, and this season Bree has proved herself to be a part of this tradition."
