On Saturday, March 24, the North Penn lacrosse team took time away from the lacrosse field as they gave back to their community. The Knights spent several hours cleaning up a wetland area run by the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association that was severely damaged by the floods of 2011.
All members of the team worked together to accomplish over five week’s worth of work in just a few hours. Specifically, the players removed debris from the wetland, built small bridges, installed new signs, cleaned up litter, removed an existing fence and moved gravel for a parking lot.
