Central Bucks East finished its lacrosse season Tuesday with a 13-8 loss to District 12 champion LaSalle.
“It’s too bad it’s over with,” said coach Bruce Garcia. “We did well on ground balls, and we definitely ran them in the second half, a lot harder than they thought we were going to run them.”
The Explorers overwhelmed East early on, soaring to an 8-0 lead in the second period.
But to the Patriots credit, they didn’t roll over.
Trailing 10-2 in the second half, they started turning things around as they outscored LaSalle 6-3.
“We came out a little slower than I thought we would,” said senior attackman Matt Hughes. “We didn’t make our possessions count. We started to pick it up in the second half. We fought back. Our team showed a lot of heart in the end.”
