National Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Player

Taylor Hunt – Senior at Council Rock North High School

A three-year varsity player, Hunt has been the consummate sixth man for a Golden Hawks squad that rolled through the regular season without a loss. She was named team MVP in Rock South's win over Our Lady of Mercy at the Scholastic Play-by-Play at Philadelphia University earlier this season.

Note from the coach:

“Taylor works hard, and she's a total team player,” coach Monica Stolic said. “She just does her job, and she's been really key for us coming off the bench. She's been our spark as our sixth man. In some games, she's started and done well. She started on the freshman team in ninth grade and has just worked hard all four years. It was great to see her get our team MVP at Philly U.”

About Taylor:

Best memory playing basketball: There are too many to count, but two memories really stick out to me. One would be going to Applebee's after every Friday night game, laughing unstoppably and being in food comas. Another memory would be all of the team sleepovers we have had in the past and the inside jokes we have made, such as 'blah, blah, blah.'

Part of game I enjoy most: The friendships I have made with my teammates over the past four years. Sometimes basketball is not all about the actual games, it is about the memories and laughs you share with each other on the bus, on the court, and at hangouts. I wouldn't replace this four-year basketball experience for the world.

My role models are: I have several role models in my life. Some of these include my parents, my brother, and my grandparents. I look to them for advice on and off the court and someday hope that I can do the same for my children and grandchildren.

Music that gets me pumped before games: Before games, I like to listen to all kinds of music. I ALWAYS make sure I jam out to a lot of rap, the song 'Halftime' by the Ying Yang Twins, and my favorite artist Justin Bieber with our manager Brittney Tomlinson.

Favorite food: Buffalo chicken cheesesteak from the Works

Favorite TV show: I don't watch much TV, but I always make time to watch Modern Family and The Middle.

Chocolate or vanilla: Chocolate, without a doubt!

Continental Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Player

Emily Hagan – Senior at North Penn High School

A three-year varsity player, the Maidens' senior guard might not find herself in the spotlight, but she has been a major contributor to the success of this year's squad as a member of a backcourt that can hurt teams both offensively and defensively.

Note from the coach:

“Emily is playing through a lot of pain, but she never says anything – she just plays through it,” coach Maggie deMarteleire said of Hagan's chronic foot pain. “She has inserts, and sometimes they bother her. She's really, really battled through a lot of pain this year.

“She's capable of scoring points offensively because she is very skilled. It's just that sometimes it's hard for her to stay in the game because of her injuries. She really has been an asset and has contributed a lot. She's also fun, and she brings a different spirit to the team.”

About Emily:

Best memory playing basketball: Steph Knauer scoring her 1000thpoint

Part of the game I enjoy the most: Getting to spend time with my teammates – we're like a big family.

My role models are: My dad because he has always inspired me to work my hardest and my coach Kathy Corrado because she's helped me perfect my foul shot.

Favorite food: Spaghetti

Favorite TV show: Tosh. O

Chocolate or vanilla: Chocolate

American Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Player

Christina Coleman – Senior at Cheltenham High School

A three-year varsity player and two year starter, the senior co-captain is averaging 13 points, nine rebounds and four steals a game for a Lady Panther squad that was undefeated in American Conference play.

Note from the coach:

“She's just been a good team leader,” coach Bob Schaefer said. “She's always done what she's been asked to do. She's an all-around great kid. All the kids like her, and she's a team player.
“She's extremely quick, and she's a real fast jumper. She can outjump girls much taller than her. She's a very intense defensive player. She works real hard, and her quickness adds to her ability to help out other people.”

About Christina:

Best memory playing basketball: Having good chemistry with my teammates both on and off the court.

Part of game I enjoy the most: Winning

My role models are: My parents and grandparents

Music that gets me pumped before games: Meek Mill's 'Lean Wit it”
