National Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Players
Hannah Binder, Senior, Council Rock South High School
Note from the coach:

“Hannah was someone who has been a contributor for four years,” coach Blair Klumpp said. “As a freshman when I was an assistant coach, she was asked to play a bigger role than what we anticipated and handled it well. Sophomore year she developed some perimeter skills to go along with a solid inside game. Last year she really took a leap, with a few double-doubles and almost averaging one on league play. She really was a mismatch in a lot of games for us last year with a strong post presence as well as a good face up and stretch big abilities. This year, the double-double consistency has not been there, which can be expected if you’re on the radar. She’s still had some really strong games for us, particularly Lansdale Catholic, a 17-win team and counting. That was her best game to date so I think she still has shown the ability to be a really effective player and that’s why Bryn Mawr is really excited to have her for four years. I think she will do well there and contribute for four years like she did for us here. Looking forward to following her career there.”

Jenna Culp, Senior, Council Rock South High School

Note from the coach:

“Jenna came to us her sophomore year, and from the first time I worked her out, I could see a strong all-around skill set and a very high basketball IQ,” coach Blair Klumpp said. “In her three years with us, Jenna has had multiple roles - she has started, came off the bench, overcame a couple of Injuries and had a really solid junior and senior year for us. Jenna is a ‘jack of all trades’ type player - she does a little bit of everything well and does a lot that does not show up on the stat sheet (proper position defensively, extra pass, diving for loose balls, etc.). I also think one area Jenna has improved in from sophomore year to senior year is personal growth and leadership. It’s still an area that she is working on and will continue to grow but she has made strides over the last two years.”

Continental Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Players

Emily Barry, Junior, Central Bucks East

Note from the coach:

“Any program would be lucky to have a player like Emily Barry on their team,” coach Liz Potash said. “She does so many things for us that don’t always show on a stat sheet but is a vital part of our team. We would not be in the position we are in without her play. Emily defends the opposing team’s leading scorer and is an opposing point guard’s nightmare as a defender. She is very active on defense, creating tips for steals and diving on the ground for loose balls. Emily is never afraid to attack the basket and embraces contact on the offensive end. Emily is also an incredibly smart player, she has a knack for the game that cannot be taught. Most importantly, Emily is an outstanding teammate; she always wants and is willing to do whatever is best for the team. Emily is a great representative of East basketball.”

Mikaela Reese, Senior, Souderton Area High School

Note from the coach:

“Mikaela has been doing it all for us on and off the court this year,” coach Lynn Carroll said. “She leads our team in points, rebounds and assists and has been a great leader in the locker room. She works extremely hard, has a positive outlook and is fun to be around.”

About Mikaela:

Favorite memory playing basketball:  I don’t have a specific memory that was my favorite because I have made so many throughout my four years. It is hard to pinpoint just one. Instead, I can say the best thing from playing high school basketball was making my friends that will forever have had a positive influence on my life and my game. I have found my best friends through playing basketball, and for that, I am grateful.”

Part of the game I enjoy the most:  Being able to be given the chance to play such an amazing sport with the people that I care most about.

My role models are: My parents are my role models. Since I was three years old, they have supported me in all the sports I have played. They have been there for me in the worst and the best. I couldn’t have wished for a better support system. I look up to them every day and hope to be half of what they are.”

Music that gets me pumped before games: A mixture of lots of different music, such as 80s, throwbacks and rap.

Favorite food:  Crab cakes with fries and a side of honey mustard

Favorite TV show: Grey’s Anatomy

Four people (dead or alive) I would invite to a dinner party:  Paul Walker, Kelly Oubre Jr., Ethan Dolan, Selena Gomez
