Continental Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Player
Lindsay Scott, Senior, Central Bucks South High School
Note from the coach:
Lindsay is our sixth man and she is an extremely important part of our team,” coach Beth Mattern said. “I believe one of the hardest jobs is to be the sixth man on the basketball court, you are expected to come in and be a spark of energy! Lindsay doesn’t disappoint. Lindsay is a true competitor who challenges herself in the classroom and athletically. I’m excited to watch Lindsay the rest of the season but really excited for her opportunity at Muhlenberg College next season- academically and on the soccer field.”
About Lindsay:
Best memory playing basketball: My favorite basketball memory was going to Wildwood over Christmas break with the team. We won the tournament and made a lot of memories off the court.
Part of the game I enjoy most: I love the challenge of playing defense on the best ballhandlers.
My role model is: Carli Lloyd because her hard work and determination has heightened the game of soccer for women in the United States.
Music that gets me pumped before games: My favorite song to listen to before a game is “Lose Yourself” by Eminem
Favorite Food: French Fries and Ice Cream
Favorite TV Show: Criminal Minds
Four people I’d invite to a dinner party: Carson Wentz, Taylor Swift, Amelia Earhart and Ellen DeGeneres
American Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Players
Courtney Murray, Senior, Cheltenham High School
Note from the coach:
“Courtney came to CHS from Little Flower at the beginning of her junior year,” coach Brendan Nolan said. “She was the starting point guard during her junior season, relying on the guidance of four senior starters. She was a willing recipient to the help she received from her teammates. Courtney was a great addition to the team both on and off the court. This season Courtney is the senior point guard who is providing the guidance to her younger teammates. Courtney is a co-captain and is frequently doing things to help her teammates. Whether she is helping someone with homework, pushing the other girls in practice or giving a ride home to a teammate, Courtney does it with a smile. On the court, Courtney has improved in every statistical category this year. She is an example of hard work paying off. Courtney is a pleasure to be around each day and she will be missed next season!”
About Courtney:
Best memory playing basketball: My best memory is making my first buzzer beater.
Part of the game I enjoy the most: Playing the game is what I enjoy because it is something I love to do.
My role model is: Skylar Diggins
Music that gets me pumped before a game: NBA Youngboy “No Smoke”
Favorite Food: Chicken Alfredo
Favorite TV Show: The Good Doctor
Four people I'd invite to a dinner party: My Grandfather, my friend Shea, my mother and father.
Gia Schweitzer, Senior, Plymouth Whitemarsh High School
Note from the coach:
“Gia is the epitome of a program kid,” coach Dan Dougherty said. “She’s been a part of the program for four years and through middle school. She does everything we ask her to do. She’s really an elite defender. Anything that she gives us offensively is always a nice bonus. She’s been working hard to improve her three-point shot. She’s such a positive presence in practice, in the games and in the locker room. She really does a great job of keeping everyone’s spirits up, trying to keep everybody loose and focused on enjoying the season and the game and the moment.”
About Gia:
Best memory playing basketball: When we beat Upper Dublin in double overtime at their gym this season. It was one of the craziest, most exciting games I've ever played in.
Part of the game I enjoy most: Celebrating on the court with my team after pulling out a tough win together. The excitement and emotion that comes with playing and winning a game you love to play is undeniably one of the best feelings.
My role model is: My Mom because she has always supported me in all of my academic and athletic activities. I look up to her strength and ability to find the positive in every situation.
Music that gets me pumped before games: Rap
Favorite food: Pasta
Favorite TV show: Grey’s Anatomy
