Nice was a Second Team Suburban One Continental Conference pick last year when he allowed just under 8.5 goals per game for the Indians, who finished 10-7. Nice plays club lacrosse for Twist.
Nice plans to major in business and was impressed with Centenary during his visit to the school and felt at home with the “small school feel.”
Centenary, located in Hackettstown, N.J., competes in the Colonial States Athletic Conference and went 6-8 last year.
“I chose the school because I went for my overnight and felt really at home and the team was really cool,” Nice said. “Also, I played club team with a few other kids committed to go there.”
Nice will try and lead an Indians’ squad to a second consecutive winning season after a huge rebound year in 2010.
“My team goals for this season are to make districts,” Nice said. “I feel that we have a really good chance to do so [even] though we graduated our starting defense last year.
“I still think that we can do well. We will have a powerful offense and will have some younger kids step up on the [defensive] side.”
Nice wished to thank his head coach, Todd Pettit, his parents and his Twist coaches.
