Steph Knauer – Shippensburg University (Basketball)

Major:  Biology – Allied Health

Final list of colleges:  Shippensburg, Philadelphia University, Neumann University

Reasons for choosing Shippensburg:  “It was the best choice for my major and my future in the medical field. Also, their basketball program is perfect for my style of play, and the coaching staff and team are exactly what I was looking for.”

What was the progression that led you to playing collegiate basketball?  “I went through many sports throughout my years at school, but when I had so much fun my sophomore year of basketball, I knew I wanted to continue playing in college. The recruiting process started my junior summer of my AAU season.”

Coach Maggie deMarteleire says:  “I remember before Steph was entering ninth grade, going over to her home and talking with her parents and her about what an asset she would be to the high school program, and she definitely proved me right.  Steph has been an integral part of changing the face of North Penn Girl's basketball.”
