Craig Lepre – University of Albany (Baseball)
Major: Undecided
Final list of colleges: Albany, Temple, Bloomsburg
Reasons for choosing Albany: “I really liked the coaches and players at Albany, and I will get a chance to play early on.”
When did you start thinking about playing baseball at the collegiate level? “I always wanted to play college baseball. Making the (American) Legion team as a ninth grader and varsity as a 10th grader kind of showed me that I could.”
Coach Bob McCreary says: “When you coach, you see a lot of kids who have natural abilities and have talents they are born with and develop, but usually it’s stuff outside their talent – it’s their work ethic, their personality, their desire and their drive. That’s what makes kids move on to the next level, and Craig certainly embodies that. Not just the physical skills – you could tell early on that he had that confidence, he had that work ethic, and that’s why he is where he is right now.”
