COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Pac-10sports.com, a new scholastic sports internet web site for complete information on the Pioneer Athletic Conference, was launched in December.
Pac-10sports.com is partnering in this venture with SuburbanOneSports.com, which recently began its fourth year of operation. SuburbanOneSports.com has become a one-stop source for information on the Suburban One League, a 23-team league that covers portions of Montgomery and Bucks counties.
The 10-team PAC-10, which includes Methacton, Perkiomen Valley, Spring-Ford, Pope John Paul II, Pottstown, Pottsgrove and Upper Perkiomen from eastern Montgomery County; Phoenixville and Owen J. Roberts from northern Chester County; and Boyertown from southern Berks County, will be featured in a comprehensive format that includes all boys and girls varsity high school sports.
Editorial content will include featured game coverage, scores, standings, wraps, college signing stories, schedules, notebooks and features, with the featured athletes segment serving as the centerpiece of the site. The featured athletes will be seniors who encompass the following qualities: athletic achievement, scholastic achievement, community service and citizenship.
Professional photos of featured games will also be available for purchase on the site.
Phillylacrosse.com is a content-sharing partner with Pac-10sports.com, which is under the direction of Dave Kurtz, former sports editor of the Mercury (Pottstown) and Times Herald (Norristown).
“Our mission is to make this a one-stop shop for everyone seeking information on the PAC-10,” said Kurtz, a second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection as an outfielder and three-year starter on the baseball diamond at the University of Maryland from 1973-1976.
“We are all in the business of promoting high school athletics, and this will be another tool to get the job done. We are confident everyone involved with the league, from parents, coaches, student/athletes and athletic directors, will benefit.”
