Pennridge High School announced the hiring of its new football coach – Chuck Burgy - in the news release below dated June 22, 2022,
We are excited to announce that the Pennridge School Board approved the appointment of Mr. Chuck Burgy as the head coach for the Rams Football Team at a meeting on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.
Mr. Burgy has been part of the Pennridge faculty for the past twelve years as a member of both the English and Business departments. Coach Burgy has been part of the Pennridge High School Football program, at various points, since 2005. Most recently he has worked as an Assistant Coach under Coach Cody Muller for the past three seasons.
There were 19 highly qualified applications received for the position. The interview process consisted of multiple rounds and included current players, parents, a middle school football coach, and administration. It was important through this entire process to include all stakeholders to objectively obtain the viewpoints of those who will be working with the head coach moving forward.
The goal and vision of the Pennridge Athletic Department is to provide high quality training and facilities for our student-athletes, to be a positive presence in and out of our school building and to hire and maintain high quality coaches for each of our sports. This hiring of Coach Chuck Burgy continues to meet and develop our goals and objectives as a department.
