Neshaminy at Pennsbury Jan. 14, 2022

The Falcons dueled in another in-conference meet at home against Neshaminy. The girls won and continue to defend their conference title, and the boys had some close races, but ended up with a loss. Standout performances started with the girls 200 Medley Relay, where they had a first place finish. The first place lead-off was Emily Cicco along with Ashley Martillotti, Mackenzie Cicco and Keira Walsh. The girls 200 Free brought our next impressive performances by Val Lawton, Maggie Sweitzer and Kenzie Hamer, sweeping the event. The boys 200 FR also had strong finishers including Kian Hecht and Ben Brown. Keira Walsh had a victory and Jacob Strockoz had a strong finish in the 200 IM. In the 50 Free, there were impressive performances by Mackenzie Cicco and Maggie Sweitzer for the girls and Jacob Cohen and Sam Bevington for the boys. In the 1M diving event, Kassidy Georgevich and Luke Prada both had strong performances with first place finishes. After diving, Pennsbury had strong performances by Emily Gilmore and Kian Hecht in the 100 fly, which then led to impressive finishes in the 100 Free by Shreeya Grounder, Anna Radzinski, and Jacob Cohen. Val Lawton had a victory in the 500, and Andrew Thau had a very strong race with a personal best. The girls’ team had a victory in the 200 free relay including Shreeya Grounder, Ashley Martillotti, Maggie McVan and Maggie Sweitzer, and the boys had a very close race including Jacob Strockoz, Kian, Hecht, Sam Bevington and Jacob Cohen. In the 100 backstroke, Mackenzie Cicco had a victory, and in the 100 Breast, Ashley Martillotti swam a season best which brought her to victory. Pennsbury girls ended on a high note with a victory in the 400 Free Relay, including Val Lawton, Maggie Sweitzer, Keira Walsh and Mackenzie Cicco.
