Plymouth Whitemarsh vs. Council Rock South - 01/17/2013

Submitted by  PW 2011 Alum Scott Samuel David Weiss

FEASTERVILLE, Pa- Plymouth Whitemarsh head coach Jeff Blizzard had expressed excitement welcoming the return of junior Nathan Enslin, who had received a rude welcome gesture from PW's home Suburban One American/Continental match versus Hatboro-Horsham Wed 16 Jan. 2013. Enslin, whose sister is former Lady Colonial varsity bowler and current Bloomsberg University sophomore Lauren Enslin, did not appear on varsity in PW,s Thurs. 17 Jan. 2013 nonleague match visiting Council Rock South, yet he had recorded a 223 game on junior varsity. James Strause of PW did not attend the nonleague contest in Feasterville.

Meanwhile, PW anchor Dom Procaccino started both games one and two with ham ones five consecutive strikes, with the first game rolling 234 in helping PW to a 124 pin victory 988-864), in which senior anchor Joey Galleo's 174 had been PW's lowest score. Matt Amadio, the Colonials' other two-handed bowler and brother of varsity Lady Colonials bowler Emily Amadio, complimented the second position with 175. Council Rock South anchor Chris Czmar, sporting sweatpants and a black t-shirt, paced the Hawks with 203.

The next two games had been neck-and-neck, relying on the final three frames to determine the outcomes. Despite another stellar Procaccino performance of 224  for PW(which included a gutter-spare), the host Hawks found their wings through 201 from Matt Forman and 219 from Czmar, and the Hawks prevailed in the second set 904-876.  Josh Pierce found marks coming at his own desires for PW towards 217 and Jake Gum added 202, but Procaccino misplaced some of his striking groove towards 169, and the Hawks had been able to overcome 18 total pin fall in the first three game three frames from Jim Kullman towards a 193 and Hawks 882-870 victory. In the third game, Connor L. Switched with Drew Taub for the Hawks in the eighth frame to a 132 finish, and Czmar found the mark groove with a another 203 and 625 series.

Earlier in the 2012-2013 season, Council Rock South took a 3-1 victory visiting Plymouth Whitemarsh on Thurs. 13 Dec. 2013 at Facenda Whitaker Lanes in Norristown. During that match, coach Blizzard had used Christian Mitchel, Strause, and Nick Lockard along with Procaccino, Pierce, Gum, and Galleo. When Council Rock South had previously hosted the Colonials back on 1 Feb. 2010, Jeff Berest and Kevin Patterson of the Hawks took care of the Chris Hammes-anchored Colonials in the first set before PW pulled a convincing 3-1 nonleague victory at Brunswick Zone. One week after the 2010 nonleague clash, the Colonials earned their first Suburban One American/Continental crown, sharing with Norristown.

The Colonials had come off from a Suburban One American/Continental Wed 16 Jan. 2013 match hosting Hatboro-Horsham, in which the Colonials could not find timely marks. PW had countered against Eric Kuhn, Mile Pine, and company of Pennridge in Earlington Mon 14 Jan. 2013. Weather permitting, the Colonials' next two matches will take place on the road in Suburban One American/Continental action: Wed 23 Jan. 2013 at Thunderbird Willow Grove against Upper Dublin and Mon 28 Jan. 2013 at Earl Bowl versus North Penn.
