Plymouth-Whitemarsh vs. North Penn Bowling Preview for 02/03/2010

Plymouth Whitemarsh at North Penn Bowling preview for 2/3/2010
Comments:
In just its 7th year in the Suburban One American league for bowling, the Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials boys bowling squad is closer to something they have never accomplished than ever before- capturing the league title. The Colonials boys bowling team, 34-9 in league games, 34-13 overall, currently hold first place by one game in the division. The Norristown Eagles hold second for boys bowling in the division with a 33-11 league games record. PW and Norristown recently battled for first during PW'S Senior Day on Thursday January 28,2010, in which the Colonials were triumphant, 3 games to 1, thanks in part to Josh Taylor's 279, 246( he was perfect until the 9th frame), and 192 for a 715 series. As the season winds down, the Colonials boys bowling squad has 2 more road matches, after their 3-1 win at Brunswick Zone against Council Rock South on Monday February 1,2010, which take place at the Earl Bowl( North Penn and Pennridge), with just 1 home match (vs Upper Moreland). PW Coach Jeff Blizzard says "these games are critical, and we have to win these games in these pivotal conditions."

Playing at the Earl Bowl at North Penn on Wednesday February 3,2010 won't come easy. When PW Junior Varsity bowler Steve Mohnke found out that Norristown defeated Pennridge 4-0 while riding PW's bus home on February 1, 2010 from Brunswick Zone, that gave PW a small margin to make errors. Although the PW boys defeated North Penn 4-0, including a PW game record 1,130 points in game 3, along with Pat Galleo's 279 at Facenda Whitaker Lanes on January 6,2010,the Colonials will have to snap an Earl Bowl match drought. During that last PW vs North Penn match, Chris Hammes had games of 259-258-229 for a 746 series, and Pat Galleo had games of 199-256-277(he had 8 straight strikes to start game 3),for a 732 series; for North Penn, Kyle Transue 244 game, 732 series; Dylan Harris 667 series. In the past, PW's krypto was the Earl Bowl itself. PW has to make sure that the kryptonite fact will not be the same.
