The Quakertown Community High School Cross Country competed in the PAUL SHORT INVITATIONAL, held at Lehigh University this past Saturday. This event is the largest HS Cross Country race, east of the Mississippi River, and second largest in the country. This year they combined college races in the morning with high school races in the afternoon. The VARSITY BOYS, led by Senior LOGAN BREZNER (18:11), placed 28th (out of 41 teams), an improvement over last year's placing of 33rd (out of 42 teams), the top five were Senior PAUL HAND (18:50), freshmen JOHN JUSZYNSKI (19:06), and DAVID PYFER (19:07), & Junior ZACH PINT (19:07). Many runners ran their (PR's) personal records this day.

In the JV BOYS race, the team again ran short-handed, with only three runners, led by Senior Nate Gruver (21:58).
The PANTHERS next race will be this Wednesday, as they travel to NORTH PENN to compete vs CB East and North Penn.
