The Quakertown Community High School Cross Country team competed this past Wednesday vs. CB East & North Penn on the North Penn 5K course. The team came up short, losing to both teams by the identical score 15-50 in the BOYS races. The team was led by Senior Logan Brezner (18:36), placing 21st, followed by Senior Nick Yeatman (18:55), and Junior Sam Barndt (19:02), placing 27th & 28th, respectively. But it was not enough to overcome the shutout.
In the GIRLS race, Junior Ashlyn Hickey did not compete due to illness and the team did not score, as only four girls competed (needed five to score), they were led, however, by Sophomore Emily Maceri (24:18), placing 23rd, followed by Sophomore Rylie Murphy (25:24), placing 29th.
The PANTHERS next meet will be a HOME meet at Memorial Park in Quakertown vs. CB South & Souderton, next Wednesday (10/10) at 3:30PM.
