NORRISTOWN (PA)- The North Penn Knights continue to hand Plymouth Whitemarsh record- breaking single-game pinfalls. In January 2009, Plymouth Whitemarsh recorded their then-single game pinfall of 1,130 against North Penn at Facenda Whitaker Lanes, which was the same season the Colonials captured their first Suburban One Continental/American boy’s bowling conference championship. On Monday January 30,2012, at Facenda Whitaker Lanes, host Plymouth Whitemarsh once again shattered their single-game pinfall record and received a momentous achievement from a senior despite dropping a 3-1 (2,936-2,895) verdict to the visiting Knights.

North Penn was victorious in the first game over the host Colonials despite PW’s Julius Selfinger's 216. Then, Selfinger recorded PW's second-ever 300, as the senior anchor recorded his perfect game in a second-game victory over the visiting Knights. Selfinger's 300 is the Colonials' only other perfect game since then-PW sophomore and current college sophomore Chris Hammes reached perfection in February 2008. As well as Selfinger's major feat, the Colonials recorded a single-game high 1,160 against the visiting Knights, topping their 1130 previous high, which was also at Facenda Whitaker against North Penn. Alex Lesse, also a senior on the Colonials, contributed to the game record with 258.

Feeling the euphoria from a special feat, Selfinger did not have enough in his cruise control tank, mustering 149 in the third game, and the Colonials suffered a bitter game three defeat, sending the hosts walking away excited and frustrated at the same time. When the Knights and Colonials faced off at Earl Bowl in Earlington in December 2011, the Colonials and Knights split,2-2, but the Knights had the greater pinfall.
