A Senior Showcase featuring some of the top volleyball players from the Suburban One League was held at Bayard Ruskin High School on Sunday. The five-set match featured the top 24 seniors in District One.
The following SOL seniors participated in the showcase:
Sarah Kiely – Council Rock North
Jackie Davies – Council Rock North
Drew Jolly – Pennsbury
Ashley Morgan – Hatboro-Horsham
Lauren Schmickle – Hatboro-Horsham
Liz DiValerio – Upper Merion
Alex Galdi – Upper Merion
The SOL seniors were members of the Blue Team, which was pitted against the Gold Team. Included on the Gold Team’s roster were five members of the state championship Bishop Shanahan squad. The Gold Team defeated the Blue Team 3-2 (25-20, 14-25, 16-25, 25-14, 15-10).
Sarah Kiely was named MVP of the Blue team while Shanahan’s Emily Carlin was MVP of the Gold Team.
