PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 12, WILLIAM TENNENT 4

The Colonials bounced back from a disappointing loss to Wissahickon 24 hours earlier to defeat the Panthers at Revolution Ice Gardens, opening up a 5-0 lead after one period and rolling to the decisive win. Isaac Mishkin’s unassisted goal was followed by Weikel’s second goal of the period, this one with a Keogh assist.

Thirty seconds into the second period, Smith scored with assists from Matthew Flynn and Keough to put the Colonials on top 6-0 before the Panthers scored three unanswered goals in a five-minute period – one each from Gavin Loughlin, Frank Rosenberry on the power play with a Nate Silberman assist and Matthew Castan (Loughlin assist).

The Colonials had an answer, closing out the period with four straight goals. Weikel accounted for three of them – the first two with Keogh assists and the third with assists from Thomas Murphy and Flynn). Keough also had a goal in that span, using a Sam Ouellette assist.

The Panthers held a 46-36 advantage in shots, an advantage that was negated by the 42-save effort of PW’s Kolton Galie in goal.
