WILLIAM TENNENT 5, HATBORO-HORSHAM 2

The Panthers picked up their second win in as many days on Friday, defeating the Hatters by an identical score as they’d downed Upper Dublin one day earlier. Frank Rosenberry (1g/3a) and Andrew Matz (2g/2a) both turned in four-point games to lead the Panthers, who held a 57-21 advantage in shots.

Matz (Rosenberry assist) scored the lone goal in the opening period. The Panthers led 2-0 when Gavin Loughlin scored with assists from Rosenberry and Matz just over four minutes into the second period. Two minutes later, the Hatters made it a 2-1 game, thanks to a goal by Tarek Elsabbagh (Darius Graziani assist). Rosenberry (Loughlin/Walt Wolaniuk assists) and Matthew Castan (Matz/Quinn Morena assists) scored back-to-back goals to put the Panthers on top 4-1 before Graziani scored on a penalty shot in the closing seconds of the period.

Andrew Matz’s empty net goal with assists from Rosenberry and Loughlin with just over two minutes remaining in regulation gave the Panthers a 5-2 lead that held until the final horn.

Charlotte Reeves earned the win between the pipes, turning away 19 shots.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 4, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 2

The Titans scored three unanswered goals in the third period, turning a 2-1 deficit into a 4-2 win at Revolution Ice Garden on Friday night.

The Indians led 1-0 after one period, thanks to a goal by Nicholas Hahn (Zach Weissman assist) midway through the period.

That 1-0 lead stood until – with three minutes left in the period - DJ Lindenmuth connected on a power play goal with an assist from Colin Mendham. With 65 seconds remaining in the second period, Jackson Accardi scored with assists from Ryan Keil and Wilton Pasch to put the Indians on top 2-1.

Adam Cuscick scored the equalizer on a power play 1:19 into the third period, using assists from Aydin Thierolf and Aidan Gaffney. Cusick scored the go-ahead goal 11:31 into the period, and in the game’s final minute, Thierolf tacked on an insurance goal, using assists from Matt Crouch and Aidan Gaffney.

Jason Magaruh notched the win in goal for the Titans, stopping 28 of 30 shots. Ian Goldberg kept the Indians in the game, turning away 53 of 57 shots in a strong outing between the pipes.

WILLIAM TENNENT 5, UPPER DUBLIN 2

Andrew Matz scored two goals and assisted on another to lead the Panthers to the win at Hatfield Ice on Thursday.

The Panthers led wire to wire and opened up a 2-0 lead in the first period. Matthew Castan scored 1:29 into the period with a Quinn Morena assist, and three minutes later, Matz found the net, using an assist from Gavin Loughlin.

Five minutes into the second period, Matz connected on a power play goal with an assist from Frank Rosenberry, and late in the period, Castan scored his second goal, again with a Morena assist.

Less than a minute into the final period, Upper Dublin’s Kevin McGinley scored with assists from Gus Plat and Andrew Kearney. That 4-1 score stood until – with a minute remaining in regulation - Cole Rosenthal scored with a Kearney assist. Rosenberry’s goal (Matz/Loughlin assists) in the closing second of the game gave the Panthers their final margin of victory.

William Lomas recorded the win in goal for the Panthers, turning away 24 of 26 shots he faced.

The Golden Hawks erupted for four unanswered goals in the second period, blowing open a close game on their way to a win that keeps them undefeated in National Conference play.

Blaize Pepe (Alec Pepe/Chase Tovsky assists) scored 1:38 into the opening period, and that 1-0 lead held until just over a minute into the second period when Julian Wagenmann scored with assists from Matthew Constantini and Nolan O’Brien.

The Golden Hawks reeled off three unanswered goals in just over five minutes late in the period to go on top 5-0 with Jeremy Rayher (Julian Sarne/Kyle Boss assists), Kevin Koles and Evan Mostoller (Koles/David Vergules assists) each scoring one goal.

JJ Hathaway’s goal midway through the third period put the Redskins on the scoreboard, but Mostoller (Chase Tovsky/Koles assists) answered with a goal, giving the Golden Hawks their final margin of victory.

Rock South goalie Carson Lopez turned away 19 of 20 shots he faced in the win.

Pat Stelacio scored three goals and assisted on a pair to lead the Ghosts to the no-doubt-about-it win. The Ghosts also received four-point efforts from Joe Stelacio (3g/1a) and Matthew Kramer (4a).

The Trojans got on the scoreboard first when Jaxson Shandler scored with an assist from Hudson Honneycutt 1:27 into the contest. The rest of the period belonged to the Ghosts, who received single goals from Sam Paulik (Pat Stelacio assist), Pat Stelacio (Griffin Carpenter/Paulik assists), Joe Stelacio (Matthew Cholaj/Matthew Kramer assists) and Sean Frye to go on top 4-1 after one period.

The Ghosts’ lead grew to 7-1 after back-to-back goals by Joe Stelacio – the first with a Kramer assist and the second on a power play with assists from Pat Stelacio and Kramer – and a single goal by Pat Stelacio on a penalty shot. Danny Hussa broke up the Ghosts 7-0 tear with an unassisted goal, but Cholaj scored a short-handed goal for the Ghosts with a Kramer assist, and then it was Pat Stelacio scoring in the closing minutes to put Abington on top 9-2 after three periods.

Tom Rourke connected on a power play goal with a Joe Stelacio assist before AJ Pounds (Danny Hussa assist) found the net for the Trojans. Cholaj’s second goal of the game gave the Ghosts their final margin of victory.

Ben Panella (24 saves) and Sam Nemec (12 saves) combined for the win in goal for the Ghosts.

Seth Grossman scored five goals in a stellar offensive showing for the Indians, who turned a close game into a rout with seven unanswered goals in the second period.

Alex Bazylevich’s goal 2:45 into the contest gave the Owls a short-lived lead. Less than a minute later, Grossman scored the equalizer, and late in the period, he scored his second goal of a productive night, this one turned out to be the game-winner.

In the second-period onslaught, Grossman scored three goals – the first with a Jacob Chow assist and the second two short-handed in a span of less than a minute. Nicholas Smith added a pair of goals – the first one with a Timothy Alexander assist. Liam O’Neill turned a Jaime Avaria pass into a goal, and Alexander scored with an assist from Patrick Callahan, putting the Indians on top 9-1 after one period.

The Indians closed out the game with goals by Carter Povazan and Callahan.

Souderton goalie Noah Connor notched the win, turning away 21 of 22 shots.

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 4, QUAKERTOWN 2

The Panthers held a 2-1 lead after one period, but the Colonials evened the score in the second period and then won it with two goals in the final period.

William Wilson used assists from Lucas Cunnane and Braden Bishop for a goal that put the Panthers on the board 7:39 into the game. Luke Weikel’s power play goal with assists from Aidan Keogh and Matthew Flynn evened the score three minutes later. That tie didn’t hold up for long as Anthony Pagliei scored an unassisted goal to give Quakertown a 2-1 lead.

Keogh scored a short-handed goal 7:19 into the second period with assists from Conlan Carpenter and Weikel, evening the score 2-2 heading into the final period.

Dylan Novitski scored the go-ahead goal 6:34 into the third period, and Weikel added an insurance goal late in the period, using a Flynn assist.

PW goalie Kolton Galie was credited with 25 saves in a winning effort.

Reese Millman connected for a hat trick and assisted on another goal to lead a balanced Falcons’ attack in last Wednesday’s win.

The Bucks got on the scoreboard first when Zen Sanders scored with a Grant Funseth assist 2:29 into the contest. The Bucks reeled off three unanswered goals to go on top 3-1 after one period. Reese Picker (Logan Doyle assist), Brendan Macainsh (Frankie Kolanko assist) and Millman (Logan Doyle/Connor Kane assists) each scored single goals for the Falcons.

The Falcons added three more goals in the second period with Samantha Roberts, Marcus Roberts (Kolanko assist) and Millman each scoring a goal as the Falcons opened up a 6-1 lead.

Shane Siegmund connected on a power play goal with a Conor Kane assist 2:58 into the final period, and then it was Evan Eisler and Millman (Eisler assist) scoring for the Falcons. Billy Loughnane (Nicholas Bruno assist) broke the Falcons’ 8-0 tear with a goal, but Andrew Falkenstein scored for the Falcons with a Millman assist. West’s Anthony Dowd (Evan Hee/Loughnane assists) found the net with a goal that closed out the scoring.

Aaron McDaniel was credited with 24 saves in a winning effort in goal for the Falcons.
