Friday, Dec. 15
PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 8, SPRINGFIELD 3

The Spartans took an early 2-0 lead only to watch the Colonials reel off seven straight goals on their way to the win.
In the first quarter, Springfield’s Owen Quinn (Grayson Quinn assist) and Thomas Manchester (Grayson Quinn/Gabriel Wells assists) scored back-to-back goals out of the gate, but a power play goal by Daniel Guller (David Branigan/Dylan Novitski assists) made it a 2-1 game after one period.
The Colonials took control of the contest with five unanswered goals in the second period. Dylan Novitski, David Branigan (Timothy Murphy assist), Jason Segal, Luke Smith (Daniel Molony/Blake Ambler) and Ryan Campbell (Guller assist) each scored one goal.
A goal by Segal (Dylan Novitski assist) early in the third period put the Colonials on top 7-2. Springfield’s Owen Quinn and Segal exchanged goals to close out the scoring.
Julian Lucks earned the win in goal, turning away 33 of 36 shots he faced.

Thursday, Dec. 14
PENNRIDGE 6, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 5 (OT)

In arguably the most exciting game of the week, the Rams – who trailed 5-1 early in the third period – closed out regulation with a 4-0 tear to send the game into overtime. The Rams won it with 3:37 remaining in OT when James Rush found the net with an assist from Colin Dachowski.
The Titans led 3-1 after one period, thanks to goals by Jeffrey Kvecher, Sean Cutter (Jeffrey Kvecher/Jake Kunkle assists) and Ryan Frey (Ryan Montagna assist). Nolan Shaw’s unassisted goal was the lone score for the Rams.
CB South’s lead grew to 5-1 after goals by DJ Lindenmuth and Joey Slobodrian (Aidan Linso assist) to open the third period. The Rams reeled off four straight goals in the final 10 minutes of regulation. Andrew Savona ignited the Rams’ 4-0 tear with back-to-back goals assisted by Kevin Pico. Then it was Pico scoring with assists from Rush and John Mikulich III. Savona scored the equalizer with 4:19 remaining, using an assist from Mikulich, setting the stage for overtime.
Jacob Winton had another big game for the Rams in goal, recording 36 saves in a winning effort.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 5, SOUDERTON 4 (OT)
Corey Kosick scored with 4:34 remaining in regulation with an assist from David Brown, propelling the Patriots to the dramatic overtime win. Kosick’s four-point game (2 goals, 2 assists) led the Patriots.
Thursday’s OT win was a credit to the Patriots’ resiliency. The Patriots trailed 2-0 early and rallied to knot the score. Souderton took a 3-2 lead into the final quarter, and East knotted the score. The Indians went on top 4-3, but a goal by Ryan Gerken (Corey Kosick assist) with 1:32 remaining in regulation knotted the score and set the stage for overtime.
In the first period, Souderton held a 29-15 advantage in shots and a 2-0 edge on the scoreboard, thanks to goals by Seth Grossman (Nicholas Smith/Maxwell Ryon) and Ryon (Jacob Chow assist).
Goals by East’s Gerken (Gavin Widmer/Kosick assists) and Kosick evened the score 2-2. The Indians regained the lead when Matthew Malanga scored an unassisted goal with 2:38 remaining in the second period.
In the opening minute of the third period East’s Gavin Widmer scored the tying goal with assists from Ethan Cenci and Brown Midway through the period, Ryon scored with a Grossman assists but Gerken answered with the equalizer in the closing minutes.
East’s Cole Breen recorded 39 saves in a standout effort in goal, keeping his team in it despite the fact that they Patriots were outshot 43-20.
With the win, East improved to 5-3.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 10, PENNSBURY 2
The Golden Hawks bounced back from their first loss of the season with a no-doubt-about-it win over the Falcons. Blaize Pepe spent the game serving as facilitator, assisting on five goals. Gavin Nisenzon had a four-point game, contributing three goals and one assist.
In the first period, the Golden Hawks reeled off four unanswered goals with one each from James Dilulio (Jackson Mosley assist), Jake Weiner (Jackson Mosley/Evan Mostoller assists), Jeremy Rayher (Jonah Weston assist) and Peter Pereborow (Ilya Kudzinau/Pepe assists). Rayher’s goal was short-handed.
Rock South’s lead grew to 6-0, thanks to back-to-back goals by Nisenzon – the first in the second period with assists from Daniel Filippov and Mostoller and the second early in the third with assists from Blaize and Kevin Koles. Logan Weed’s unassisted goal put the Falcons on the scoreboard. Filippov and Nisenzon answered for the Golden Hawks before Evan Eisler (Shane Hicks assist) scored for the Falcons. Koles and Dilulio goals closed it out for the Golden Hawks.
Trevor Rakszawski earned the win in goal for the Golden Hawks, recording 17 saves.

NESHAMINY 2, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 1
Cory Hemberger turned away 39 of 40 shots he faced in glittering effort in goal to anchor a standout defensive effort by the Redskins. His 39-save effort negated a 40-26 advantage in shots for Council Rock North.
Nicholas Hahn scored early in the first period, using assists from Ivan Bondra and Jackson Accardi to spot the Indians a 1-0 lead.
The Redskins evened the score with 9:42 remaining in the second period when Jack Delaney scored an unassisted goal.
The two teams went into the final period deadlocked 1-1. Ryan DeMatteo scored a power play goal in the opening minute of the third period, using assists from Liam Mooney and Delaney. That goal stood the rest of the way as the Redskins eked out the win.

BENSALEM 5, ABINGTON 2
The Ghosts hung tough, trailing by just one late in the second period, but the Owls sealed the Ghosts’ fate with a pair of goals to close out the game. Alex Hood’s hat trick led the Owls.
Hood scored the only goal of the opening period, finding the net midway through the period with a Justin Rapone assist.
Michael Romano (Seamus Donofry assist) evened the score with a goal early in the second period. Hood put the Owls on top with 3:07 remaining, using an Alex Bazylevich assist. Cole Salayda (Brandon Stahl assist) followed with a goal a minute later to put the Owls on top 3-1, but Shane Meltzer pulled the Ghosts to within one, scoring with assists from Donofry and Romano. Salayda (Stahl assist) scored his second goal to send the Owls into the final period with a 4-2 lead.
Hood scored the lone goal of the third period, using a Bazylevich assist.
Ricky Gonzalez earned the win in goal, stopping 22 of 24 shots.

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 11, WISSAHICKON 1
Jason Segal scored three goals and dished off a pair of assists, and his five-point game led a balanced Colonials’ attack. Three players – Timothy Murphy (1 goal, 3 assists), Daniel Guller (1 goal, 3 assists) and Jayson Yoder (3 goals, 1 assist) – each had four-point games.
The Colonials put three goals on the scoreboard in the opening period. – the first two by Jason Yoder. David Branigan and Timothy Murphy assisted on the first, Guller assisted on the second. Jason Segal scored the third with an assist from Murphy.
In the second period, they added six goals. Segal had a pair while Ryan Campbell (John Zawislak/Segal assists), Guller, Luke Smith (Yoder/Guller assists) and Murphy (Guller assist) each added a single goal.
Wissahickon’s Jack Raebiger broke up PW’s shutout bid with an unassisted goal five minutes into the third period. Yoder (Murphy assist) and Dylan Novitski (Sega assist) answered with goals for the 11-1 final.
Wissahickon held a 30-18 advantage in shots, an advantage that was negated by the 29-save effort of goalie Julian Lucks.

NORTH PENN 10, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 1
Samuel North scored four goals and assisted on two others to lead the Knights to the decisive win. Nolan Shingle spent the game setting up his teammates, assisting on five goals.
North turned a Shingle pass into a goal four minutes into the game, and midway through the period Joseph Silvotti scored a goal that would turn out to be the game-winner, using a Christopher Silvotti assist. Norton’s second goal (Cole Pluck/Shingle assists) gave the Knights a 3-0 lead after one period.
In the second period, Christopher Silvotti scored with assists from Joseph Silvotti and Danial Cabrales, but a power play goal by John Cherubini (Nicholas Bruno assist) put the Trojans on the scoreboard. North scored with a Shingle assist to send the Knights into the final period with a 5-1 lead.
The third period belonged to the Knights, who reeled off five unanswered goals. Pluck scored a pair while Joseph Silvotti, Cabrales and Norton each added one goal.
Aidan Quigley was credited with the win in goal, turning away 17 of 18 shots. Isaac Mays had a busy night for the Bucks, recording 42 saves.
