Friday, Jan. 10
NORTH PENN 8, SOUDERTON 7

In a battle of the neighboring rivals, the Knights broke a 6-6 tie heading into the final period with a pair of goals to eke out the win. Cole Puck’s six-point game with two goals and four assists led the Knights. Samuel Norton added three goals and one assist in a four-point outing.
Pluck put the Knights on the board four minutes into the game with a Danial Cabrales assist. Goals by Cabrales and Norton put the Knights on top 3-0, but the Indians roared back, evening the score after three straight goals from Matthew Cross – the first with a Patrick Callahan assist, the second one unassisted, and the third with assists from Maxwell Ryon and Cameron Fairweather.
The Knights answered with back-to-back goals by Tyler Evans (Luke Haftel assist) and Cabrales (Pluck/Haftel assists) – the second on a power play – to go into the second period with a 5-3 lead.
Again, the Indians responded, this time going on top 6-5 after a single goal by Ryon and back-to-back goals by Cross, who led the Indians with a six-goal effort. Norton scored the equalizer, and the two teams went into the final period knotted at six.
Cross connected on a power play goal with a Ryon assist to put the Indians on top 7-6 early in the third period. The Knights had an answer. Norton scored a short-handed goal with a Pluck assist, and with 5:19 remaining in regulation, Pluck scored a goal that stood as the game-winner with an assist from Norton.
North Penn’s Andrew Norton earned the win in goal. The Knights held a 44-28 advantage in shots.

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 6, SPRINGFIELD 4
The Colonials maintained their perfect record in conference play, winning for the ninth time in nine games. They broke a 4-4 tie with a pair of late goals. Chris London scored the go-ahead goal with an assist from Daniel Guller with 8:33 remaining in regulation. Blake Ambler added an insurance goal, using assists from Guller and Cooper Kanze.
Earlier, the Spartans took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Ronan Klein (Grayson Quinn assist). Four minutes later Morgan Hulitt scored the equalizer with assists from Luke Wynne and Ambler.
London broke the tie with a goal two minutes into the second period, using a Kanze assist. Gabriel Well scored with an assist from Grayson Quinn, and then it was Grayson Quinn scoring with an Owen Quinn assist to send the Spartans into the final period with a 3-2 lead.
Daniel Molony’s unassisted goal was followed by a goal from Ambler (Jarrett Olenginski assist), and the Colonials led 4-3, but Grayson Quinn evened the score, using an assist from Gavin McManus. That tie stood until London’s game-winner.
Julian Lucks turned away 31 of 35 shots he faced in a contest that saw the Spartans hold a 35-34 edge in shots.

HATBORO-HORSHAM 7, ABINGTON 1
Vincent Graziani scored three goals and assisted on another to lead the Hatters to the convincing win.
Seven minutes into the opening period, Victor Wilkins scored with assists from William Moffa and Joseph Magnin, and the Hatters took that 1-0 lead into the second period.
Nathan Nemchinov made it a 2-0 game with a goal assisted by Connor Smith. The Ghosts cut that lead in half when Joseph Widmeier scored with an assist from Aiden Baldwin. Goals by Brady Gurt and Graziani sent the Hatters into the final period with a 4-1 lead.
In the third period, Graziani scored a pair of goals sandwiched around a goal by Aiden North, putting the finishing touches on the win.
Eric Miller earned the win in goal, turning away 13 of 14 shots.

Thursday, Jan. 9
PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 7, HATBORO-HORSHAM 6

The Colonials opened up a 7-2 lead midway through the third period and then withstood a late comeback by the Hatters, who reeled off four unanswered goals. With the win, PW solidified its spot atop the American Conference standings.
Leading the Colonials with four-point games were Luke Smith (2g, 2a) and Daniel Guller (2g, 2a).
The teams spent the first period exchanging goals. John Zawislak (Guller assist) put PW on the board, but Vincent Graziani (Darius Graziani) answered. Luke Smith’s power play goal with assists from Guller and Daniel Molony gave PW a 2-1 lead, but Nathan Nemchinov answered with a goal for the Hatters, using assists from Vincent and Darius Graziani. Guller’s goal with 2:19 remaining sent the Colonials into the second period with a 3-2 lead.
The second period belonged to the Colonials, who reeled off three straight goals – one each from Morgan Hulitt, Luke Smith and Zawislak.  They led 7-2 when Molony scored with a Luke Wynne assist with 9:14 remaining in regulation.
That lead turned out to be anything but secure as the Hatters scored four straight, beginning with an unassisted goal by Victor Wilkins with seven minutes remaining, and then back-to-back goals by Vincent and Darius Graziani within a 15-second span. Nemchinov’s short-handed goal with 1:36 remaining pulled the Hatters to within one. That’s as close as they would get.
Julian Lucks and Lucas Bennett combined for the win in goal, turning away 40 shots. The Hatters held a 46-23 advantage in shots.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 12, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3
Jeremy Rayher had himself a game, scoring seven goals and assisting on two others to lead the Hawks to their 11th win without a loss in Thursday’s rivalry game at Grundy.
Jack Mosley had two goals and two assists in a four-point game while four Golden Hawks had 3-point games – Jake Maurer (3a), Jonah Weston (2g, 1a), Wesley Mallon (3a) and Brendan Rooney (1g, 2a).
Rock North actually took a 2-0 lead, thanks to goals by Jackson Accardi and Michael Telegin. Mosley’s goal with 2:27 remaining made it a 2-1 game after one period.
The Golden Hawks scored six unanswered goals to open the second period, including four straight power play goals from Rayher. Weston and Brendan Rooney each added a goal before Accardi scored an unassisted short-handed goal for the Indians.
In the third period, Weston scored just over a minute into the period, and then it was Rayher closing out the game with three straight – his 21st, 22nd and 23rd goals of the season.
Rock South held a 44-14 advantage in shots. Trey Prozzillo earned the win in goal for the Golden Hawks, turning away 11 shots.

PENNSBURY 9, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 6
Christopher Sarver and Shane Gleisner each had five-point games to lead the Falcons to Thursday’s win. Sarver had three goals and two assists while Gleisner scored five goals.
The two teams were deadlocked 2-2 after one period with Anthony Dowd (Brandon March assist) and Sarver exchanging goals, and then West’s Zane Sanders (Alex Korolev/Dowd assist) and Gleisner exchanged goals.
Back-to-back goals by Gleisner to open the second period gave the Falcons a 4-2 lead, but West’s Jackson Hirsch scored with an Emily Kremser assist to make it a one-goal game. Gleisner answered with his fourth and fifth goals of the night to give Pennsbury a 6-3 lead before Blake Hager found the net for the Bucks.
In the third period, Shane Hicks scored with a Sarver assist to put the Falcons on top 7-4. The Bucks didn’t go down quietly and made it a one-goal game yet again after goals by Alex Korolev and Sanders. The Falcons responded with a pair of goals from Sarver.
Pennsbury held a 39-25 advantage in shots. Brendan Milliken earned the win in goal.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 2
The Titans needed a pair of third-period goals to eke out a win in Wednesday’s rivalry game at Hatfield Ice.
Trailing 2-1, Ryan Frey scored the equalizer on a power play goal 27 seconds in the final period, using assists from Jeffrey Kvecher and Jake Stepp. Midway through the period, Keith Waldron (Ryan Montagna/Jamison Crouch assists) found the net with a power play goal that stood as the game-winner.
Earlier, Alex Wilson turned a pass from Jack Kochan into a goal for a 1-0 lead in the opening minutes of the second period. Logan Hood evened the score midway through the period, using assists from Dominic Gibson and Jake Stepp.
Jack Kochan (Charlie Keiser/David Brown assists) scored the go-ahead goal with 4:20 remaining in the period. East took that 2-1 lead into the final period when the Titans rallied for the win.
South goalie Jack Matkowski turned away 22 of 24 shots he faced to earn the win. East’s Cole Breen was credited with 35 saves.

WISSAHICKON 5, SPRINGFIELD 4
The biggest moment of the game belonged to the Honeycutts.
With just 2:31 remaining in regulation, Logan Honeycutt scored with an assist from Sabrina Honeycutt, breaking a 4-4 tie and giving the Trojans a lead that stood the rest of the way.
Early on, Kellen Warman’s power play goal with assists from Ronan Klein and Owen Quinn put the Spartans on the scoreboard three minutes into the game. They led 2-0 after an unassisted goal by Gavin McManus.  Jack Raebiger’s unassisted goal made it a 2-1 game heading into the second period.
Benjamin Raebiger’s unassisted goal midway through the second period evened the score. The Trojans had an immediate response. Benjamin Raebiger’s power play goal with assists from Jack Raebiger and Logan Honeycutt knotted the score. Brielle Rumsey’s goal with 3:46 remaining in the period (Benjamin Raebiger assist) gave the Trojans their first lead heading into the final period, 4-3.
With 5:21 remaining in regulation, Grayson Quinn (Christopher Cahill/Gavin McManus assists) found the net with the equalizer. Three minutes later, Logan Honeycutt scored the game-winner.
Fletcher Lynch earned the win in goal for the Trojans, turning away 36 of 40 shots.

Samuel Norton scored three goals and assisted on another. His four-point night led North Penn to its decisive win at Grundy. Aidan Quigley was perfect in goal, stopping all 14 shots he faced in the shutout.
Norton put the Knights on the scoreboard less than a minute into the game with a goal that turned out to be the game-winner. Cole Pluck and James Boyle assisted. By the time the first period was over, Norton had a pair of goals – his second unassisted on the power play. Pluck added a pair of goals – the first with a Norton assist and the second with an assist from Nolan Shingle. Declan Leahy also scored a goal assisted by Derek Lugara, and the Knights took a 5-0 lead into the second period.
In the second period, Shingle scored the only goal – this one short-handed with a Luke Haftel assist.
In the third period, Norton completed his hat trick with a James Boyle assist for the 7-0 final.
