Tim Hild was nothing short of brilliant in Saturday’s non-league win over Holy Ghost, tossing a no-hitter while fanning eight and walking three.
Truman plated all the runs Hild would need with a single run in the first. The Tigers added a run in the fourth and two more in the fifth to ice the win. The Tigers collected just five hits with Matt Shea’s double the only extra base hit. Delivering RBIs for the Tigers were Shane Monahan (1-for-3), Scott Jensen, Devon McDermott (1-for-3, 2 runs score), and Anthony Coffman (1-for-3).

PENNSBURY 10, ROMAN CATHOLIC 0
The Falcons upped their early season record to 5-0 with Saturday’s no-doubt-about-it non-league win over Roman Catholic that was halted in the fifth inning when the mercy rule went into effect.
Joe Sabatino improved to 2-0 on the mound, fanning three in three scoreless innings. Connor Ward had one strikeout in two scoreless innings.
Offensively, sophomores Ryan Sheaffer and Brody McFadden both delivered two-run doubles for the Falcons, who scored one run in the first and blew the game open with a four-run third.  Also contributing RBIs for the Falcons were Justin Jacko and Jake Goldberg, who was 2-for-2.

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 9, SOUDERTON 3
The Colonials’ offense came to life, exploding for 10 hits en route to the non-league win. Leading way were Austin DiBonaventure, Matt Nardo, Connor Purdy and Evan Bischoff with two hits each. DiBonaventure reached base all four times he came to the plate. Jon Fisher added a triple and three RBIs. Also contributing RBIs were Rob Pecharo (2), Bischoff, Zach Metz and Purdy.
Fisher earned the win on the mound in relief of senior Ryan Mongan, who threw two strong innings in his varsity start but ran into trouble in the third. Fisher and Rob Pecharo combined for four shutout innings.
Senior Evan Beaty delivered the defensive gem of the game for PW with a diving play at second to end the sixth inning, allowing Pecharo to close the door in the seventh with a one-two-three inning.
The three and four spots in Souderton’s order reached base a combined six times, thanks to two hits, three walks and an error.
The Colonials improved to 2-4 while Souderton fell to 3-2.

UPPER MORELAND 11, CONWELL EGAN 1
The brother act of Charlie and Colton Hooker combined for four hits and six RBIs. Charlie finished the day 2-for-2 with a triple and four RBIs, and Colton was 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs. Dan Murt was 2-for-3 with a double, and Matt Kohn was 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI on a day that saw the Golden Bears pound out 13 hits. Kyle Irwin had a double and RBI, and Pat Driscoll also had a double. Robert Knox delivered one RBI.
On the mound, Tommy Robinson and Dennis Long allowed just three hits with Robinson – who started – earning the win.
The Golden Bears are 5-1 on the season.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 13, NORTH PENN 12
In a back and forth contest that featured 27 hits – 17 by the Patriots, CB East earned the SOL win on Friday.
The Knights went on top 6-3 in the bottom of the second and still took a 6-5 lead into the fifth when the Patriots exploded for seven runs. The Patriots led 13-6 before the Knights staged a late-game rally.
The Patriots were led by the 4-for-4 effort of Ben Hauser while Ethan Rode was 3-for-4 and Vince Careghini was 3-for-3. Contributing two hits each were Pat Reilly and Robert Welhaf.
David Yanni had a team-high four RBIs while Hauser had three and Reilly and Welhaf had two each. Yanni and Hauser accounted for East’s only extra base hits – both contributed doubles.
Anthony Barilla earned the win in relief for the Patriots, who improved to 3-0 in the league (4-1 overall). The Knights are 1-2 in the league (1-3 overall).

UPPER MORELAND 5, WILLIAM PENN CHARTER 4
Charlie Hooker homered for the second time in as many days, and Robert Knox was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Jason Adelman started the game on the mound, and Knox closed the door on the win.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 16, WISSAHICKON 10
The Bucks benefited from seven Trojan errors to score 16 runs – all in the first three innings. They also collected 11 hits en route to the win.

WILLIAM PENN CHARTER 7, CHELTENHAM 5
The Panthers took a 2-0 lead into the fourth inning when Penn Charter went on top 3-2. The Panthers knotted the score in the bottom of the inning. Penn Charter won it with a pair of runs in both the sixth and seventh innings.
