The Golden Bears got off to a good start, opening up a 12-8 lead after one quarter, but the Eagles answered with a 14-9 second quarter to go into halftime with a 22-21 advantage. UM took a 31-27 lead into the final quarter when the Eagles outscored the Bears 16-10 to eke out the win.
Byron Hopkins scored 17 points to lead the Golden Bears, who also received nine points on three 3-pointers from Bo Meakim. Matt Tiernan added seven points.
Upper Moreland (15-10, 9-7 SOL) will return to action in the opening round on Tuesday, March 8.
