Non-league
UPPER DUBLIN 55, NORTH PENN 49

The visiting Cardinals opened the game with a 17-7 first-quarter tear and went into halftime with a 26-16 advantage. The Knights trimmed four points off that lead in the third quarter but could not make up for the ground they lost early.
For UD coach Derek Brooks, it was a successful return trip to his alma mater.
Key players: Ryan Mulroy (17 points) & Idris Rines (16 points) led UD’s offensive charge. The duo combined for 13 of their team’s 17 points in the Cards’ big opening quarter with Rines burying a pair of 3-pointers and Mulroy scoring seven which included one bucket from beyond the arc.
For the Knights, Ahmaar Godhania (15 points – 4 3-pointers) led the way.
Upper Dublin coach Derek Brooks on the game: “I thought we got off to a pretty good start against them being up 10 after one quarter. Our energy was good, and we were forcing some turnovers with our pressure. I thought in the second quarter we gave up some opportunities with some missed layups. We also got a little cold shooting the ball, and that carried through to the rest of the game. Their zone was predicated on packing it in, and we needed to do a better job of just knocking down open looks. They hit some tough jump shots down the stretch to make it close, but fortunately, we did enough to hang on. Ryan Mulroy and Idris Rines did a great job of attacking their zone either as scorers or passers.”
--Homecoming for Brooks: “It was fun being back at North Penn. It was nice to see some old faces. The gym is almost the same as it was 15 years ago, which made me feel nostalgic. I wish them the best of luck, I think Cordell is going to do a great job leading that program, and I think they’ll make a strong push for a spot in Districts this year.”
Next up: Upper Dublin (16-1, 5-0 SOL) will host Wissahickon Tuesday, and North Penn (8-11, 2-3) will be on the road at Central Bucks West Tuesday.

HARRY S TRUMAN 52, MORRISVILLE 32
The visiting Tigers took a 23-19 lead into halftime and then limited the Bulldogs to just 13 second-half points on their way to the big non-league win.
Key players: Jaden Luchansky scored 11 of his team-high 13 points in the first half.  Dwayne McCoy had the hot hand in the second half, scoring 10 of his 12 points after the intermission.
Harry S Truman coach Randolph Jackson: “It was good for us to get on the winning side after letting three get away. I was pleased with our effort – we were playing physical basketball, scrappy basketball and matching their intensity. Skip Mason does a great job with the boys. They play hard, they play physical, and they finish well around the rim, so we had to match their intensity. We knew the crowd was going to be tough as well, so we enjoyed the atmosphere. The boys lived up to the expectations and matched the other team’s physicality as well.”
--Props: “It started with Abdul Diallo. He did a great job just facilitating the ball – lobbing to the high post, dishing it off to Dwayne McCoy in transition and in the dunker’s spot as well. He did a great job distributing the ball to his teammates. He ended up with five or six assists, so we were very pleased with that. We were able to get MJ Elzzy a couple of assists as well,
“Also, on the defensive end, Abdul was able to get a lot of deflections along with steals, so he had a great game for us, and it started on the defensive end. Overall, I was pleased with our defense, and it was great to get back in the winning column."
