North Penn 8, Central Bucks West 7

The Knights pulled off the upset of the day, defeating the second place Bucks in a tightly contested game. The Knights held a tenuous 4-3 lead at halftime but outscored the Bucks 4-1 in the third quarter to go into the final quarter with an 8-4 lead. They withstood a furious fourth-quarter comeback attempt by the Bucks to earn the hard-fought win.
Dan Kohler led the Knights with four goals while Chris Anton added a pair. Kyle Heinig and Dan Gross each scored single goals.
Goalie Mike Tappen was credited with 13 saves for the Knights.
Norristown 10, Upper Moreland 9 (OT)
The Eagles won an overtime thriller when Sean Calhoun scored his fifth goal of the game at the 3:30 mark of OT to lead Norristown to its first win of the season.
Calhoun finished the day with five goals and three assists. Jake Naseef added three goals and one assist while teammates Kristian Agnelucci and Eric Sylvester each scored one goal.
For the Golden Bears, Ryan Christensen had three goals and two assists, Steve Fleming scored four goals, and Talon Blickley had two goals and two assists. Andrew Benner and Austin Sgro both had a pair of assists.
Upper Moreland’s Nick DeBalko was credited with 17 saves in goal.
Abington 8, Council Rock North 6
In a tightly-contested National Conference game, Abington and Rock North battled to a 1-1 tie at the end of one quarter. The Ghosts took a 4-3 lead into halftime, and it was still a one-goal game (6-5) heading into the final quarter when the Ghosts outscored the Indians 2-1 for the big win.
Ryan Ambler contributed two goals and two assists while Brian Gallagher and Matt Figeuroa both added a pair of goals for the Ghosts. Matt Lomady and Nick Pisko each scored a goal, and Anthony Greco and Max Malloy both contributed an assist.
Goalie Travis O'Connor turned away eight shots for the Ghosts. Anthony Greco led the defense with seven groundballs while Austin Pifani had six.
Pennsbury 19, Harry S. Truman 5
Josh Caven scored six goals and contributed an assist to lead the Falcons. Teammate Calvin Hopkins added the hat trick and one assist. Ryan McDonald scored two goals and contributed an assist, and Andrew Probst had one goal and four assists. Contributing one goal each were Lewis Sears (one assist), Luke Matthews, Grant Montgomery, Sean Heilferty, Dan Marr, Kenny Denton and Brandon Coppotelli. Ricky Jutkiewicz and Sean McDonald both had two assists while Christian DeVaul added one assist.
For Truman, Jared Kline contributed the hat trick, and Gordon McDonough had a pair of goals. Kyle Katz, Jeremy Ghost and Bobby Ryan each had an assist.
The Falcons led 4-2 at the end of one quarter and stretched that lead to 11-3 by halftime. It was a 17-3 game heading in the final quarter. The Falcons’ defense limited the Tigers to just six shots.
Truman goalie Tyler Brennan was credited with nine saves while Pennsbury’s Drew Sweetland had one save.
Hatboro-Horsham 10, Souderton 3
Jake Durkin contributed two goals and two assists, and teammate Cam Wiercinski also scored a pair of goals to lead the Hatters. Jimmy Durkin (one assist), Trevor Downing, Steven Palo, Kyle Mullen (one assist) and Austin Brownell each added single goals. Kevin Sweeney had two assists and Kyle Peters had one.
Hatter goalie Marc Poust was credited with five saves while his counterpart, Souderton’s Grant Nice, had 15 saves.
Souderton – which dropped its fourth straight game - received a pair of goals from Ridge Schultz and a single goal from Bryan Ziegler.
Upper Merion 18, Cheltenham 7
Trevor Kupecky had a hand in 10 goals for the Vikings, scoring five goals and assisting on five others. Teammate Luc Minnich added six goals and one assist. Lorran DaCosta had two goals while Roby Boyk had one goal and two assists. Also contributing one goal were Pat Vandergeest (one assist), Jake Keszcyk, Austin Edelman and Wes McDowell.
Conor Crowe was credited with eight saves in goal for the Vikings.
Central Bucks East 17, Pennridge 7
